Treistman Joins M/A/R/C to Launch Qual Division

US-based brand development firm M/A/R/C Research has appointed Joan Treistman as Executive VP to start up a New York office and establish a qualitative division for the company.

Treistman, whose expertise is in communications and package design research, comes to M/A/R/C from NOP World. Previous roles in her 30-year MR career include President of Treistman & Stark Marketing, as well as stints at Quaker Oats and various MR firms. She has an MBA from the University of Chicago.

She is currently Committee Chair for the American Marketing Association's Annual Marketing Research Conference, and is former President of the Market Research Council and a past President of the American Marketing Association (New York Chapter). She has also served on the Boards of Advertising Research Foundation and the Council of American Survey Research Organizations (CASRO).

Treistman will take the lead on new product development and corporate strategy, as well as qualitative work. Merrill Dubrow, President and CEO of M/A/R/C, commented on his new hire: 'I have had the pleasure of knowing Joan the past 15 years through the American Marketing Association.
