Management Changes for WebTrends

August 31 2005

Nick Sharpe Internet analytics firm WebTrends Inc has promoted Nick Sharp to VP and General Manager Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA); and has hired Scott Foernsler, formerly of DoubleClick and Siebel, as VP of Worldwide Sales.

WebTrends has been operating in EMEA, now the company's fastest-growing region, for ten years. Sharp has led the area's sales and marketing teams for several years, most recently as VP, building relationships with clients including BMW, HSBC, IKEA, O2, Reed Elsevier, Ryanair, Sony Ericsson, T-Mobile, Vodafone and Volvo. In his new role, he will take responsibility for all technical support, training, and business consulting services, as well as focusing on expanding the company's presence in the region.

Scott Foernsler Foernsler, who will report directly to Web Trends CEO Greg Drew, has 21 years' experience in sales management roles, including several years in CRM and marketing analytics companies. He comes to WebTrends from M-Factor, a company offering marketing optimization, diagnostics and simulation engines, where he was VP, Sales. He has also worked at DoubleClick, where he managed five business units that accounted for $75m in revenue. Prior to that, he was CPG Sales Director at Siebel Systems.

At WebTrends, he will be responsible for sales of the company's On Demand and software solutions. He will also work closely with the WebTrends Professional and Business Consulting Services Group to promote a 'seamless experience' for customers.

Drew says Foernsler's 'leadership skills, deep vertical industry knowledge and domain expertise in marketing analytics' will enable him to 'educate marketers at the highest levels about the power of web analytics and continuous marketing optimization'.
