Evans Data Corporation Picks New President

US-based agency Evans Data Corporation has promoted John F. Andrews from Chief Operating Officer to President. The company, which provides IT industry market intelligence based on surveys of developers, is planning to expand into new markets in the US and overseas.

Andrews was previously CEO of Giga Information Group before its acquisition by Forrester Research. He has also worked as CIO for various public and private companies, including several of GTE's operations and CSX Corporation.

Janel Garvin, CEO of Evans Data Corporation, states that Andrews' 'experience and accomplishments since coming on board have been a tremendous asset,' and that the company is confident he will 'continue to direct Evans Data's rapid growth into new markets and territories'.
