Qual Directors for ACNielsen Hong Kong

November 7 2005

ACNielsen in Hong Kong is strengthening its commitment to qualitative research with the appointment of Joshua Luk and Paul Anthony Yao as Directors of the qualitative team. Yao and Luk will take responsibility for premium clients, with a focus on financial, retail, telecoms and FMCG sectors.

Both Yao and Luk worked for ACNielsen - or its previous incarnation, Survey Research Hong Kong - in the 1990s. Yao previously ran his own research consultancy firm, Brand Harmonics, and has also worked for Added Value in Australia and Lyncs Incorporated in Japan. He has a degree in Sociology from the University of Toronto.

Luk joins from Research International in Shanghai, where he supervised nationwide qualitative research projects. Prior to that, he was Associate Director at Asia Market Intelligence (AMI) in Beijing. He holds a master's degree in Philosophy from Cambridge University.

Fanny Chan, MD at ACNielsen Hong Kong, says the new appointments demonstrate the company's 'commitment to enhance the qualitative research service, which requires special skills and is most sought after by consumer-related companies'.

ACNielsen's web site is at www.acnielsen.com.
