US data collection provider Innovative Concepts Market Research (ICMR) has acquired A La Carte Research, a 'boutique' agency that offers focus groups, telephone and online surveys, and product testing, as well as mock trials for law firms. The name A La Carte will be dropped.
Both companies are based in NY state. The newly expanded ICMR will take over the provision of A La Carte's services, and will continue to offer data collection via its 75-station call center and focus group facility. Two members of A La Carte's staff will be retained.
President Scott Sycoff said: 'A La Carte's capabilities are an ideal complement to our proven data collection services and technology. This is a natural 'marriage' for two companies that have a strikingly similar approach to meeting the needs of our clientele.'
Financial details of the merger were not disclosed. The two companies are online at www.ic-mr.com and www.alacarteresearch.com.
