Research Now Launches Spanish Team

UK-based online fieldwork specialist Research Now has launched a new Spanish client service team to offer domestic and international clients access to the 110,000 members of its Spanish consumer panel. The news follows last week's announcement that Lightspeed Research is introducing a Spanish online panel.

Research Now describes its panel - Opine Y Gane - as the largest research-only online panel in Spain. The panel was initially built to meet the needs of US and European clients wishing to undertake research in Spain, often as part of multi-country projects.

Fiorella Calderon Boza, a native Spanish speaker, has been promoted from within Research Now to Client Development Manager for the Spanish market ,and will be supported by Client Service Executive, Andres Salazar. As well as providing access to Spanish consumers, the pair will provide specialist advice on all aspects of fielding projects online in Spain. Andrew Cooper, MD of Research Now, will oversee the Spanish operation.

Spain has a population of 43 million and a market research industry worth over €400 million per annum . Over a third of Spain's 43m population are now online at home. According to Boza: 'Market research agencies understand that it is merely a matter of when, rather than if, online becomes significant part of the Spanish fieldwork market.'

Cooper says his company has 'unrivalled experience in running online fieldwork in Spain, deriving from the weekly tracking and ad hoc projects that we currently undertake for European and US clients'.
