Synovate has appointed Joel Rubinson, formerly of the NPD Group and Vivaldi Partners, as General Manager of its Americas Solutions team. The role involves overseeing solutions such as BrandVision, AdCheck and ViewsCast, as well as managing the Decision Systems team.
At Vivaldi Partners, a marketing consultancy, Rubinson was MD of Advanced Research. Prior to that, he worked for more than 20 years at the NPD Group, latterly as Chief Research Officer and Head of Product Management/Development. While there, he helped create advanced analytics for clients, including NPD's brand equity modeling systems. Earlier still, he led the Technical Research Services function at Lever Brothers.
Rubinson has taught the American Marketing Association advanced tutorial on consumer loyalty, and has lectured at Columbia University, NYU, Wharton, Amos Tuck School, and University of Rochester. He has an MBA in statistics and economics from the University of Chicago.
In his new role, Rubinson will oversee global brand equity solutions (The Momentum Engine and Pinpoint), communications effectiveness solutions (BrandVision and AdCheck), and tactical solutions such as ViewsCast and Omnibus programs.
