GfK Expands in Asia

May 8 2006

GfK has appointed four senior executives to its HealthCare Asia division, which is being formed from the consolidation of recent acquisitions SoHealthAsia and SMA (acquired with NOP). Scott Davies, Alan John and Keren Priyadarshini all become Directors and Clive Marshall, Managing Director China.

The firm recently expanded its HealthCare division with new offices in Hong Kong, China, Singapore and Thailand. Priyadarshini and John will be Directors of Healthcare in the last two, respectively, while Davies will be Healthcare Director for Asia. Marivic Sevilla, previously of ACNielsen in The Philippines, also joins GfK HealthCare Singapore, as a Project Manager.

Davies says the new division will manage the introduction to Asian clients of the company's broad range of syndicated studies and techniques from around the world.

The group also announced the establishment of a new division to focus on syndicated work in the region, to be led by newly appointed Director of Syndicated and Services, Ken Walsh.

GfK HealthCare MD Peter Eichhorn comments: 'We now have a strong geographical presence in the Asian region which allows us to serve international, regional and local clients very well. Our expansion plans in Asia are focusing both on bringing new talents to the team and on pushing into more and more Asian markets.'

The company is online at www.gfk.com .
