New CFO to Support WebTrends Growth

July 18 2006

US-based WebTrends Inc. has appointed Bryan LeBlanc as VP and Chief Financial Officer. The hire comes as the company looks to expand from its base of web analytics to the broader category of Marketing Performance Management.

LeBlanc has nearly two decades of finance experience at public high-tech and software companies, and joins from software and services provider Mercury Interactive. Before this, he served as CFO of inSilicon, a public software company in the semiconductor IP market, and was also CFO and part of the IPO team at Internet retailer Fogdog Sports. Earlier he worked at enterprise content management company Documentum and at Cadence Design Systems.

Commenting on his new role, LeBlanc says the web is 'becoming the hub of most companies' marketing strategies', putting WebTrends in 'a unique position to expand its long-standing market share leadership of web analytics to the broader category of Marketing Performance Management.'

LeBlanc will report directly to CEO Greg Drew, who says: 'The appointment of an individual of Bryan's caliber is a clear indication of the current strength of our company and a strong sign of our future market opportunity.'
