Nielsen Strengthens Hong Kong Team

ACNielsen has hired Yvonne Lum and Joel Chan as Directors of Client Services for its Customized Research team in Hong Kong. Lum specializes in the retailing industry in general, while Chan will focus on FMCG.

Lum rejoins ACNielsen from Research International. She has over 10 years of qualitative and quantitative research experience covering brand equity evaluation & understanding, customer satisfaction surveys, product / packaging tests and mystery shopping studies, across a range of industries. Prior to RI she worked as a Senior Research Manager at ACNielsen Shanghai, and as an automotive researcher for ACNielsen Japan. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the National University of Singapore, majoring in Sociology & Japanese Studies.

Chan joined ACNielsen from TNS Hong Kong where he was Research Director responsible for regional and local projects and training. He has more than 12 years of MR experience agency and client side, covering statistics, multivariate analysis and account management. In his new role, he will also take charge of driving total client solutions, described a one of ACNielsen Hong Kong's major business imperatives. Chan holds a MBA in Marketing from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Hong Kong.
