New Chief for Interbrand UK

February 21 2007

Brand evaluation and identity consultancy, Interbrand, has appointed Rune Gustafson as UK Chief Executive, based at its Covent Garden office. He replaces John Allert who has moved to Formula One parent company, the McLaren Group.

Until last October, Gustafson had been a Senior Partner at the London office of US-based corporate / brand identity consultancy, Lippincott Mercer, where he spent eight years. Previously he was MD of design, strategy and branding consultancy, 20/20.
Gustafson explained that since leaving Lippincott Mercer he has been working in partnership with Interbrand on a number of client projects. Commenting on the lure of his new role, he said: 'Interbrand is a success story, it is seen as the leader in creative work and client work.'

Gustafson has already started at the company ahead of Allert leaving at the end of March.
Interbrand's Group Chief Executive, Jez Frampton commented: 'Rune has a strong passion for clients and people, qualities which go to the heart of our business.'
The firm operates from 30 offices in more than 20 countries, and is online at www.interbrand.com .
