GfK Hires Strengthen US Healthcare Teams

The GfK U.S. Healthcare Companies have announced a number of senior appointments, including Brian Hull, M.B.A. as President of subsidiary company GfK Strategic Marketing, replacing Marty Glogowski who is retiring.

The global group announced appointments at all three of the companies under its US Healthcare umbrella: GfK Strategic Marketing, GfK Market Measures, and GfK V2.

Hull spent the last five years as an Executive VP at GfK V2, growing and leading a business unit. Earlier he worked for Migliara/Kaplan Associates, and helped with the development of a start-up online research firm. He has a Masters in Business Administration from Indiana University.

GfK Market Measures has added to the recent appointment of Bill Bowman, J.D., as Vice President of Oncology (www.mrweb.com/drno/news6443.htm ) by hiring Jenny Donohue, Ph.D., as Senior Vice President, Multi-Client. She has more than 25 years' experience working in research for clients including pharma and biotechnology companies, and government. She recently founded, developed and sold two companies, web-based performance appraisal Competency Assessment Solutions, LLC and patient-reported healthcare information provider Consumer Health Sciences. She worked earlier at Johnson & Johnson and Merck & Co, and earned her Ph.D. in Social Research from Bryn Mawr College.

Meanwhile Andrea Alfonsi, Steve Finestone and Howard Jaffe have joined GfK V2 as Senior Vice President and Strategic Business Unit Heads.

Alfonsi's focus is in biotech and specialty pharmaceuticals sectors. Before joining V2 she spent nine years at Ziment. She holds an MBA with a Marketing concentration from Drexel University.

Finestone has run his own healthcare marketing research and consulting firm, SZF Associates, Inc., for the last ten years. Before this he was Market Research/Business Planning Analyst, Manager and Director at Wyeth for eight years. His MBA is in Marketing and Finance from Cornell University.

Jaffe has worked in pharmaceutical sales, advertising and marketing, latterly specialising in quant research including the understanding of treatment algorithms and patient archetypes; and qual focusing on early product development, branding and positioning. Prior to GfK he worked at The Mattson Jack Group and TNS Healthcare. He was previously Vice President and Head of U.S. Operations for Genactics, Inc. He holds a Master's degree in Biology from Villanova University.
