O'Grady Takes Top Job at Claritas

May 18 2007

Nielsen-owned marketing intelligence firm Claritas has promoted Matthew O'Grady to the post of President in its New York Office, succeeding Robert Nascenzi who resigned last month.

O'Grady joined the firm in 1990 as Executive VP of Sales and Service, overseeing client relationships, sales, client service and training. Prior to this he was Group VP, Sales & Product Management at San Diego-based National Decision Systems, which subsequently merged with Claritas in 1999. He also previously held sales management positions at AT&T and the Daniel Yankelovich Group.

Commenting on the promotion, Susan Whiting, Executive VP of The Nielsen Company said: 'In his 17 years with Claritas, Matt has successfully established solid relationships with both clients and employees to benefit the strategic growth and direction of the service.'

O'Grady frequently presents at industry conferences, and has published articles in American Demographics, Business Geographic and American Banker, among others. He has also worked extensively with geographic information system (GIS) and analytical delivery platforms for site analysis and customer acquisition. O'Grady holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
