Call centre company Global Hotline has launched a new data mining and market research service, through its network of call centres in Japan.
The firm – which is owned by US holding company IA Global – will use its existing business and consumer telemarketing infrastructure to gather MR data and carry out customised research.
Dr Jun Kumamoto, previously an independent director of IA Global, will return to the company as Advisor to the CEO to assist with the development of the new service. Kumamoto is an Associate Professor at Tokai University and also teaches marketing and consumer behaviour at the Graduate School of Business (MBA) at Nihon University. He was previously a Research Associate at the Institute of Administrative Management, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.
Currently the company operates four call centres with approximately 500 full and part time employees, as well as utilising four agents with an additional 75 seats. The centres contact approximately 12,000 consumers every day on behalf of telecommunications and insurance customers. The new service will be available in the third quarter 2007.
