Nielsen Appoints from Within for Marketing Role

Nielsen has appointed Tom Duffy as VP Industry Services responsible for all internal and external marketing to support the firm's partnership organisations, while providing thought leadership and positioning on industry strategic issues.

Duffy is currently Director Business & Industry Partnerships at Nielsen-owned TDLinx, a provider of location information management solutions (LIM). In his new role Duffy will work closely with the Nielsen marketing, client service and communications teams.

Ed Franczek, SVP Marketing ACNielsen US commented: 'Tom's appointment is a great addition to our ongoing efforts to foster and expand our client and association relationships and to strengthen our leadership position in the industry.'

Duffy's background encompasses marketing, communications, industry relations and business development. Prior to joining TDLinx in 2004 he was Director of Marketing at FullTilt Solutions, Senior Director of Marketing for UCCnet, and Director of Net Commerce at the Hunt Corporation. He holds a BSc in Business Administration from Rutgers University.
