Launch for Online IT Market Info Source

August 20 2007

London-based Infiniti Research has announced the launch of TechNavio, a broad online business intelligence database for IT industry sales and strategic planning teams.

The database includes market size, competitor, vendor and customer data from around the world, and claims to cross 'all technology areas and major industry groups'. Drawing on the company's long experience of studies for technology companies, TechNavio information is said to have been 'thoroughly researched and validated by company analysts, whilst being referenced against published opinion by leading IT research firms and commentators.' The information includes:

  • Worldwide market-size data categorized into 50 countries and regions, over 120 technology areas and 16 major industry groups
  • Intelligence on 500 of the largest IT spenders worldwide, including a breakdown of their ICT spend, IT deployments from the last five years, and key company-specific drivers and initiatives leading to possible IT sales opportunities.
  • Coverage of nearly 200 'hot-spots' for 20 major industry groups, and
  • Query tools that allow granular mapping of competitors in each business area.
Rahul Agarwal, co-founder of Infiniti Research and Head of Business Development for TechNavio, comments: 'IT practitioners are forced to spend endless hours researching prospects, while also needing to keep track of competitors and market developments. While on one level there is an overload of information, users are left with a shortage of intelligence that is really useful in a given context.'

Infiniti offers full service research as well as analytical products, and is online at www.infiniti-research.com. A separate home page for the new service is at www.technavio.com.
