Second Sage for Cross-Tab

August 24 2007

Offshore MR and analytics provider Cross-Tab Marketing Services has appointed Dr. Russ Winer to its Global Advisory Board. The firm already taps Simon Chadwick for advice on business and corporate strategy.

Winer will be joining the board from the 1st of September 2007 and from a base in New York will guide the firm in developing its marketing sciences practice, including data analytics and consulting offerings intended to 'move it up the value chain'. CEO Dr. Kumar Mehta says the new arrival will also 'help us hire and train the people who will lead our marketing sciences practice'.

Winer says Cross-Tab has been 'opening up a completely new dimension of offshorable activities within the global market research industry' and 'has the kind of talent required to move beyond cost savings on operational processes to be a 'thinking' and 'value adding' partner to its clients.'

The author of several books and more than 60 papers on research-related topics, he serves on the editorial boards of several MR journals including the International Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science and the Journal of Consumer Research. He is currently serving a 2-year term as the Executive Director of the Marketing Science Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and is on the board of R.A.B. Food Group, The Fall Collection, and a number of startup companies.

Cross-Tab has offices in Seattle and Chicago in the US and in Bangalore and Mumbai in India. It also operates as a full service market research agency in India, specializing in online research. Web site: www.cross-tab.com.
