New President Unites Nielsen Entertainment

Bruce Dennler has been named President of Nielsen Entertainment, uniting a division previously split between east and west coast leadership.

Bruce DennlerUntil now, the two top men have been Howard Ballon, President of Nielsen Film and Home Entertainment on the west coast, and Rob Sisco, President of Nielsen Music and COO of Nielsen Entertainment east coast operations.

Dennler joins with 23 years' experience of market and media research, having previously been President and COO of entertainment-based media services company Palisades MediaGroup, Executive VP and Director of Planning for Carat North America and Interim President of Carat USA. He was also a leading member of Carat's Global Product Leadership Team and Aegis Product Lab.

Based in Los Angeles, Dennler's new role will involve overseeing all aspects of the Nielsen Entertainment operations, including measurement of the film, home entertainment, music, interactive, book and live event sectors.

He will report to Nielsen's President of Media Client Services Dave Thomas, who commented: 'We believe there are many attractive opportunities within the organisation for expanding existing client relationships, developing new services for new clients and integrating client offerings with those offered by the rest of the Nielsen Company. I am confident that Bruce will help us succeed in these goals.'
