comScore Launches Web Site Benchmarking Tool

comScore has announced the launch of comScore Marketer, a tool enabling marketers and web site managers to benchmark their site's performance against those of competitors, and optimise ROI from their search marketing strategy.

The new tool quantifies the amount of paid and organic search traffic competitors receive by term and by engine and has been designed to help:

  • Identify high performing search terms
  • Analyse searchers and the use of search terms by demographic segment
  • Discover high-potential consumer segments and the search sites and search terms to reach them
  • Find out who is competing on search terms.
Claimed SVP Dan Lackner: 'This service will enable our clients to better understand the real dynamics of search by providing insight into both paid and organic search traffic.'

In July, comScore developed a new tool which segments Internet users by their overall time online and allows marketers to track, analyse and report Internet activity by their most important consumer groups (www.mrweb.com/drno/news7108.htm ).
