Beehive to Meet Online Research and Consultancy Needs

November 23 2007

Paul Kavanagh - former head of Experian's research service Canvasse Opinion - has launched new online panel and community research consultancy Beehive Research.

His new UK venture will also provide clients with outsourced services for monthly management of their panels, and support in building and delivering online research studies and reports.

The firm's four main focuses are:

  • Consultancy - for all online research requirements
  • Panels/Communities - a design, build and management service
  • Outsourcing - from survey design, authoring, routing, scripting to testing and deployment
  • Research - B2B or B2C quantitative online and telephone studies
Kavanagh observed that in the past 3 or 4 years, the number of custom panels and customer communities has been growing: 'We see this trend continuing, especially with the excitement that Web 2.0 is creating,' he stated.

While at Experian, Kavanagh set up and led the Canvasse Opinion research team and online panel. This experience has led him to believe that many clients are now looking to build their own online research panels and communities.

'Online research, is still comparatively young and while clients frequently have very experienced internal research teams to deliver insight, they often lack the time, resource or experience to build and manage an online panel or community,' he explained, saying that Beehive has been launched to meet this need.

The firm is not a software solution provider, but instead works with clients and the software to provide solutions that meet clients' business objectives. Website is www.beehiveresearch.co.uk.
