Carat Gears Up in Asia Pacific

Aegis-owned Carat Asia Pacific has announced changes in its regional management team, to prepare for a more 'consumer centric' and digital era. Will Swayne becomes MD of Carat Hong Kong, while Mr K Subramanian is promoted to Regional Communications Planning Director, based in Singapore.

Will SwayneSwayne, who will report to K.F. Lee, CEO Aegis Media Greater China, has been with Carat for the past 8 years, the majority of them running the global adidas account. He moved from London to Hong Kong in 2005, with a remit to manage and develop all international accounts in Asia Pacific. He comments: 'As Carat and sister company Synovate continue to invest in the better understanding of consumer behaviour, coupled with the integration of full service digital agency, wwwins into our Hong Kong offering, we are able to execute relevant and innovative media ideas. The future is about precision and through being consumer centric and digitally ahead, Carat is in a strong position to lead our clients into the future'.

Subramanian's 17 years in communication planning include stints with leading agencies, such as O&M, McCann and DY&R. He has been Executive Director with Carat India for the past 2 years, and will now work to enhance the firm's communications strategy and its delivery. He replaces Rob Kabus who moves to San Francisco as Head of Strategy Worldwide.
