TNS Healthcare Expands New Portfolio Group

January 9 2008

TNS Healthcare has appointed former GfK exec Larry Olson as VP Practice Leader, Payer Markets and Dennis Callahan, ex-IMS Health, as VP Sales Force Effectiveness.

At GfK, Olson worked as Senior Business Consultant, Market Research and Business Development. Prior to this, he founded Olson Consulting Associates after working in senior marketing and research positions at McGraw-Hill and at Dudnyk Health Group/Admark Research.

The new Payer Markets Practice has been set up to help pharmaceutical and biotech companies understand and meet the full range of access, coverage, payment and formulary challenges.

Most recently, Callahan worked for IMS Health as Solutions Sales Executive, Sales Force Effectiveness; working closely with pharmaceutical stakeholders across market research, marketing and sales operations. Prior to this, he spent five years at AstraZeneca in both sales operations and field sales. In his new role he will work with clients to optimise sales force efficiency, productivity and performance.

Jonathan Kay, President, Portfolio for TNS Healthcare, says the firm is building its Portfolio Group around the issues most critical to customers, and is bringing in professionals who can design and deliver client solutions. 'Larry and Dennis both bring deep knowledge in their specialty areas that enables them to serve as true partners to their customers', said Kay.

TNS Healthcare provides both qualitative and quantitative offerings, using traditional and on-line methodologies. Its web site is at www.tnsglobal.com/healthcare. Last October, it appointed former Grey Healthcare leader Mark Duckham as MD of its UK International (UKI) division (www.mrweb.com/drno/news7505.htm ).
