In the US, The Council for Marketing and Opinion Research (CMOR) has announced the election of Diane Kosobud as Co-Chair of its Board of Directors, and Jane Moore as Co-Chair of its Government Affairs (GA) Committee.
Kosobud, who is currently President of Global Accounts with Ipsos North America, replaces Howard Gershowitz on CMOR's Executive Committee. She brings 20 years' research experience, having previously worked as President of NPD's US Custom Research division and Product Development, Marketing Research at NFO and Burke/Bases. She has also worked clientside for Avon Products and for Federated Department Stores, and is the past VP and Secretary for the Marketing Research Association (MRA).
Gershowitz, who has known Kosobud for more than 20 years, says CMOR is 'fortunate to have her depth of experience in this new leadership role'. CMOR's Director of Operations Donna Gillin adds: 'Diane has a wide breadth of experience in the profession; her global perspective will help CMOR continue to provide solid leadership to market research providers and consumers.'
In her new role, Moore - who currently works as VP of Communication and Compliance for Kantar Operations in North America - will work with Co-Chair Michael Mermelstein to guide the committee's efforts to monitor legislative, judicial, statutory and regulatory activity. She has more than 25 years' experience managing and directing privacy related matters.
'We're eager to draw on Jane's experience and expertise to advance our objectives,' said Gillin. 'Jane's broad knowledge will help us continue to provide inspired leadership to market research providers and consumers.'
