Nielsen's New Digital Service Names Leader

January 25 2008

Former Time Warner Cable VP Bruce Haymes has joined Nielsen as head of the firm's new Nielsen Digital Media Manager service, designed to enable companies to monitor, manage and profit from the distribution of traditional media content on the Internet.

As SVP, Product Leader - Digital Media, Haymes will be responsible for developing strategy and marketing plans, integrating existing Nielsen assets and technical expertise, and implementing a rollout across all media segments.

Prior to his time as Corporate VP of Business Affairs at Time Warner Cable, Haymes held several leadership roles at PanAmSat Corporation, and worked as an attorney for a number of New York law firms. He has a BA in Economics from Tufts University and a Law degree from George Washington University National Law Center.

Haymes will report to President Media Product Leadership Jim O'Hara, who commented: 'Bruce has a strong background and expertise in corporate development, law, strategy and venture investment along with a keen understanding of the media industry. As we launch Nielsen Digital Media Manager, his talents will serve clients well.'

In December, Nielsen teamed up with identity solutions firm Digimarc to develop a system to track the distribution of media content across the Internet (www.mrweb.com/drno/news7678.htm ).
