RI South Africa Recruits New CEO from Unilever

Research International in South Africa has appointed Angy Ireland as CEO, replacing Cees Faber who left at the end of January to run Ipsos's MR operations in Central and Eastern Europe and Africa.

She joins from Unilever, where she was Marketing Director Fabric Cleaning for the Africa, Middle East and Turkey region. Previous Unilever positions were Marketing Manager Afro Hair and Consumer, and Market Insight Director Home & Personal Care. She began her career in banking and then worked at Research International before joining Unilever. She has a Bachelor of Social Science from the University of Natal, with majors in Psychology and Philosophy.

Research International in South Africa was formed in 1966 and today consists of a head office in Johannesburg and three full-service offices in the three main business centres of South Africa: Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town. The group home page is at www.research-int.com.
