BDRC Hires Analytics Head from FDS

London-based market research agency BDRC has appointed Ruth Watts as Head of Advanced Analytics. She joins from FDS International where she was the first Marketing Sciences Manager, working across IT and research teams.

Ruth WattsBefore joining FDS , she served as a Senior Methodologist at Harris Interactive; offering support for quant studies, public research projects and database management. She began her career at Experian after graduating with a BSc in Mathematical Studies from the University of Birmingham.

Watts will develop, customise and apply advanced statistical techniques to a variety of research studies. According to BDRC CEO, Dr Cris Tarrant, the appointment strengthens the company at a time of significant growth. 'With Ruth's appointment, our clients will not only continue to receive the most comprehensive analysis of their marketplace, they will also receive the in-depth intelligence necessary to achieve sustainable competitive advantage,' he comments.

BDRC was founded in 1991 and specialises in conducting research in the finance, hotels, media and advertising, travel and tourism and telecoms sectors. The firm recently acquired Continental Research from its US owner Arbitron, aiming to complement and extend its offering.
