KN Appoints Media Research Head

In the US, consumer information and research firm Knowledge Networks (KN) has appointed Martin Zagorsek as EVP Client Service, in charge of Custom Marketing and the Media Research team in the firm's New York office.

Martin ZagorsekBefore joining, Zagorsek was VP for Games & Software at the NPD Group, where he developed new techniques and products to track consumer use of emerging digital channels for accessing games and software. He previously served as VP, Strategy, for YaYa Media; and as Director, Business Consulting, for Sapient Corporation. He has an MBA from The Wharton School, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo (Canada).

'Martin could hardly have a stronger track record in building teams and capabilities that serve client needs in survey-based marketing research,' said CEO Simon Kooyman. 'As we focus more intently on the intersections between brands, new and traditional media, and consumers, Martin will add exceptional value both internally and in assisting clients.'

KN comprises media research specialist Knowledge Networks/SRI, and Knowledge Networks/PDI which provides promotion research. In January, the firm launched a system to help users link brand-building to media planning by combining brand awareness data with return on marketing objective (ROMO) information.
