Acxiom Launches Online BI Platform

In the US, marketing analytics firm Acxiom has released a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform which brings together consumer data, information technology and analytical tools to deliver business intelligence (BI).

Acxiom says its new BI Platform-X can be deployed in a matter of weeks and comes with database, business intelligence, and analytics software installed and ready to use. The tool offers a pre-configured hosted environment which allows clients to add storage, BI or database capacity on demand. It also enables them to securely transfer and manage data to and from the system from anywhere with an Internet connection.

Consulting services are also available to provide help during any phase of the pre-development or development lifecycle.

'The need to manage, organize and analyze massive amounts of information, as well as gain meaningful intelligence from it, is an extremely complex and expensive undertaking,' said BI Product Leader Todd Barron. 'This new offering allows companies to deploy a BI platform in less time with less risk and with higher data quality.'

Founded in 1969, Acxiom is headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas, with additional locations in the United States, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. The firm recently partnered with online measurement agency comScore to launch a tool which allows users to segment online and offline audiences through a system that groups consumers into 70 different 'lifestage' segments.
