Panels and software firm Toluna has expanded into the Asia Pacific region with the opening of a new office in Sydney, Australia. Mike Billingsley will head it up, bringing more than 20 years of market research experience.
Most recently Billingsley worked as VP of Sales at online sample services firm Authentic Response. He previously held senior positions at Global Market Insite (GMI), SPSS, and AOL/DMS, Survey Tabulations, America Online and Research Systems Inc.
'This is a natural move for Toluna and one that is in line with our company strategy,' explained CEO Frederic-Charles Petit. 'We are proud to now have an office and a strong team, headed by industry heavyweight Mike Billingsley, to serve the growing demands of the Asia Pacific region.'
Toluna currently manages panel communities in Japan, China, Singapore and Australia with a total Asia-Pacific member base of over 130,000 panelists.
Petit added that the opening of the Asia-Pacific office reinforces his firm's ability to provide sales and operational support at a local level. The company also supports US, UK, German, French, and Dutch clients with local teams.
Toluna has built and manages a panel community of over 2.4 million active members across 30 European and international countries. It also offers AutomateSurvey; a platform that enables research professionals to build, manage and run their own online panels and surveys.
