Chadwick to Mix Cambiar and Peanuts

September 29 2008

Cambiar partner and former NOP leader Simon Chadwick has accepted the role of CEO at online sample company Peanut Labs. Chadwick, Chair of the firm's advisory board since May, says the new role is 'on a part time basis and for a limited period', and that he will continue with Cambiar.

Explaining his decision, Chadwick said Peanut Labs was 'a game-changing company that embodies intimate knowledge and expertise in Web 2.0 and is applying that knowledge very successfully to the provision of sample for online research'. He adds that the company has gone 'from zero to eight figures in terms of revenue in the space of 14 months'.

Four months ago today, DRNO reported that the US-based firm had formed the Optimus Advisory Board, a consultative group of prominent researchers and clients to study and combat the problem of fraudulent online responses. Peanut Labs COO Ali Moiz says bad respondents and frauds cost marketers millions of wasted research dollars each year and drag down the reputation of the whole MR industry. Moiz' and Chadwick's paper on the subject can be found at www.peanutlabs.com/peanutlabs/files/documents/Optimus_Eliminating_Suspect_Respondents.pdf .

Regarding Cambiar, Chadwick comments: 'I continue to devote the other half of my time to being Managing Partner of Cambiar and offering our managing consulting services to research companies and their clients. In this, I am very ably assisted by my partners - Jay Wilson, Lock Collins and Bill Guerin - as well as our associates throughout the world in Gravitas. I am immensely proud of what we have achieved over the last four years in Cambiar.'

Peanut Labs was co-founded by Moiz; Murtaza Hussain, now President of Peanut Labs; and Prosper Nwankpa, now CTO. The firm, which uses social networks as a sample source, is online at www.peanutlabs.com . Cambiar can be found at www.consultcambiar.com .
