Coke's Insights Leader Joins Nielsen Hong Kong

Nielsen has appointed Rebecca Chiu as Director, Consumer Research (FMCG) based in Hong Kong.

Rebecca ChiuShe joins with more than 14 years' experience from Coca Cola China, where as Head of Business and Consumer Insights, she provided insights and knowledge for brand innovations and strategic direction. Prior to that, she was a Market Consultant with Quaker Oats Company in Hong Kong. She is a graduate of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in Business Administration.

In her new role, she will lead the consumer and FMCG research sectors and report to Gary Martin, who as Executive Director, Consumer Research, oversees the customized research business in Hong Kong.

'Nielsen has been a market leader in the FMCG sector through its retail measurement arm which continuously tracks market dynamics through its ScanTrack and Homescan panel services,' said Martin. 'Ms Chiu will be a great addition to Nielsen as the firm accelerates the development of consumer research in the FMCG sector in Hong Kong.'

Nielsen recently formed a joint venture with web site ranking agency Beijing Zhongqian Wangrun to develop and deliver Internet measurement and analysis services in China.
