FreshMinds Research Appoints New MD

October 27 2008

In the UK, FreshMinds Research has named Alistair Leathwood as its new Managing Director, replacing Jeannie Arthur who is leaving the firm at the beginning of November.

Alistair LeathwoodLeathwood, who joined the company as Commercial Director in 2005, is currently MD of the firm's recruitment arm, FreshMinds Talent. He previously spent nine years at Datamonitor where he worked across a number of different technology and market sectors, and latterly served as MD.

Arthur is stepping down from her position after five years. During her time with the firm, she has defined the strategy, organisation and processes upon which the business runs, and created the senior management team responsible for day-to-day management. She now intends to pursue her passion for photography and travel and says she will approach future career opportunities with an open mind.

CEO and Co-founder Caroline Plumb commented: 'Jeannie has been instrumental in the growth and success of FreshMinds Research. We are very sad to see her go, and wish her every success in her future endeavours. We are also tremendously excited to see Alistair move to Research, where his energy and drive will spur even greater achievement.'

London-based FreshMinds was founded in 2000 and now works with a network of over 16,000 'Minds', analysts, consultants and researchers who both work on research projects and provide a pool of talent for the recruitment division.

Last month, the firm won the London regional final of the Bank of Scotland Corporate Challenge, and with it up to £5m of interest-free funding.
