October 28 2008

comScore has appointed former Arbitron VP Pat Pellegrini as VP of Research for International Operations. He will be responsible for the design and implementation of statistical measurement methodologies for its syndicated audience measurement products.

In his new role, Pellegrini will also serve as Chair of the firm's Canadian research advisory council, where he will be spearheading new measurement initiatives in Canada.

Pellegrini joins with nearly 20 years' experience in research and audience measurement, most recently gained as VP of Research and New Product Development at Arbitron. Prior to this, he was VP of Research at both TNS Media Research and BBM Canada, where he worked on TV audience measurement using panel and set-top box methodologies.

He holds a PhD in quantitative methods, spatial and statistical analysis from the State University of New York, Buffalo, and also has a BA and MA in Geography from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada.

'Pat is one of the most well regarded researchers in the audience measurement industry, and we are excited about his addition to the comScore team,' said President and CEO Magid Abraham. 'As comScore continues to expand into global markets, Pat will be critical in ensuring we apply the most rigorous statistical methods to our digital audience measurement services.'
