Research Associations Make Senior Appointments

In the US, The Advertising Research Foundation (ARF) has appointed Tonya Deniz as Senior Vice President, Member Value, while CASRO has named its 2009 Board and welcomed two new Board members.

Deniz joins ARF with more than 20 years' experience in media research and consumer insights. She has previously held senior positions with MediaCom, Leo Burnett/Starcom, and Arnold Worldwide, and recently set up her own consultancy.

During her career, Deniz has been involved in many industry-wide initiatives, especially on the topic of the quality of global research measurement; published articles for industry periodicals; and has been a frequent speaker at leading industry conferences.

Chief Research Officer Joel Rubinson commented: 'With Tonya, we are extremely fortunate to have someone who can not only deliver ARF value but add value that helps our members deal with their business challenges,'

Meanwhile, CASRO (The Council of American Survey Research Organizations) has elected Strategic Resource Partners' Founder Kevin Menk as Chair from 2010; following the tenure of 2009 Chair Andrew Morrison, who is Chairman and CEO of Market Strategies.

In addition, Robin Arnold, CEO of The Gilmore Research Group, was elected to replace Menk as Treasurer; and Roseanne Luth, CEO of Luth Research, was elected to continue in her role as Secretary.

William 'Jay' Wilson, Managing Partner of Cambiar and CASRO Board Chair in 1994, was named Past Chairs representative to the Board.

The two new Board members elected are Michael Brereton, President and CEO of Maritz Research, and Craig Stevens, Executive Vice President, Global Sales and Business Development of e-Rewards Market Research.
