Patient and Caregiver Panel Lands in US

December 18 2008

Medical fieldwork agency Healthcare Landscape has rolled out its patient and caregiver panel to agencies in the US.

The panel was first launched in 2005 as a tool for European pharma and medical market research agencies to access when conducting focus groups, in-depth interviews, ethnography and online studies.

Panel members are drawn from the firm's recruitment portal 'The Patients Voice', as well as from its healthcare social network site icarecafe. It now comprises around 290,000 patients and caregivers and covers at least 400 conditions ranging from paediatric illnesses and diabetes, to cancer and motor neurone disease.

'Patients are progressively having more input and involvement in their treatment decisions,' explained Strategy Director Adam Gac. 'The in-depth and insightful perceptions achieved from the Patient and Caregiver Panel offers the healthcare industry a fresh alternative to the traditional consumer panel.'

London-based Healthcare Landscape has 13 full time team members, and more than 50 interviewers, moderators and translators.

The firm recently launched what it believes is the first patient and nurse omnibus.
