Nielsen Names New Consumer MD

In Singapore, Nielsen has appointed Suresh Ramalingam as Managing Director of Consumer Research for its newly expanded API, MENAP and Southern Africa regions (APIMEA).

Suresh RamalingamRamalingam joins from the former Nielsen EEMEA (Eastern Europe, Middle East and South Africa) region, where he spent the last six years in a number of senior management positions. Most recently, he was the leader of Nielsen's Consumer Research business in MENAP, and previously Head of Consumer Research in Egypt / KSA / UAE.

Ramalingam has more than 17 years' market research experience spanning both quant and qual, as well as extensive research and management experience across different sectors. In his new role, he will report jointly to Christophe Cambournac, President of APIMEA and David Parma, Global President, Consumer Research.
