Harris Interactive has hired Stefan Schmelcher as President of its Global Loyalty Solutions practice, with primary responsibility worldwide for developing and implementing the strategy and tactics for the division and its recently-formed center of excellence. He will be based in Munich, Germany.
The practice operates in the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Schmelcher joins from TNS Infratest in Munich, with more than fifteen years' experience in the US and international market research industry. He will now report to George Terhanian, President of Global Solutions, based in New York.
At TNS Schmelcher was Deputy Managing Director, Stakeholder Management, with responsibility for client services and consulting, strategic planning and business development, as well as corporate reputation programs. He spent a one year assignment as Head of Stakeholder Management North America with TNS USA, and was responsible for Strategic Innovation and Portfolio Management in the group's Global TRI*M Center, its Center of Excellence for stakeholder management solutions.
His experience spans industries from IT and telecom, oil and gas, automotive, the financial sector and manufacturing to retail and the airline industry. He holds degrees in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Augsburg, Germany.
