Research Rockstar to Train MR Buyers

In the US, industry veteran Kathryn Korostoff has launched Research Rockstar; a company which delivers training to buyers and users of market research seeking to get the most for their investment.

Korostoff owned qual/quant full-service agency Sage Research, before selling it to Chadwick Martin Bailey in Boston three years ago. Before this, she was a Product Manager with Motorola Codex and an Analyst with IDC.

Research Rockstar offers a series of online modular training tools to coach users in areas such as 'How to Hire a Market Research Agency', and 'How to Package & Deliver Market Research Results'. Modules also include a mix of MicroTopics - 20 to 50-minute Flash files that cover a very specific topic - RFP templates, and other related documents.

In addition, Korostoff offers on-site workshops including 'The Two-Hour Market Research Plan', 'Chartstorming', and 'The Market Research Audit'.

Separately, in a consultancy capacity, she works with companies as they create market research departments and strategies, or seek to optimize their use of MR.

Korostoff told DRNO: 'As a 20+ year veteran of the market research world, I have seen so many cases where the client's ability to apply their research results would have been improved if only they'd had some training. That's why I've set up Research Rockstar, to offer precise, actionable information to help clients find, buy and manage market research resources.'

As well as launching the company, Korostoff has found time to write a book entitled 'How to Hire & Manage Market Research Agencies', which is currently available from Amazon.com.

'This is the first in a series of materials designed to give business professionals confidence when purchasing and applying custom market research,' she explained. 'My goal is to make the whole process easier and more effective.'
