GfK Rolls Out Fashion Store Service in Switzerland

Switzerland is the first country to go live with GfK's new fashion Total Store Report (TSR), which provides retailers and manufacturers with information on the fashion retail markets.

TSR tracks and analyses sales from millions of articles in the fashion sector. Live over-the-counter sales data is collected from textile retailers and aggregated, providing a picture on thousands of textile product groups.

With access to the retailer's full range of items, products can be drilled down and analysed to provide detailed and standardized information on sub-categories such as women's clothing, babywear and luxury products. This will enable GfK to offer detailed panel information for specific fashion areas, with jeans, lingerie and other categories planned for launch in the near future.

GfK says 8 out of 10 Swiss retailers have already signed up for the service, which is scheduled to roll out throughout Europe in the coming months.
