Ipsos Rolls Out Polish CATI Service

May 14 2009

Ipsos has rolled out its 'CATI at Home' method, which enables interviewers to conduct telephone-based research from their own homes, for use in Poland.

The firm launched the pilot for the system last October, and is currently developing it further and recruiting interviewers throughout Poland. Ipsos says it is the first research company in Poland to use such a system for home workers.

Interviewers using the system are covered by the same quality control procedures that apply to surveys conducted from a telephone centre. Equipped with a computer, headphones, and broadband Internet access, Ipsos also provides interviewers with VoIP technology (Voice over Internet Protocol) and software to enable them to view questionnaires online and record conversations.

Dinko Svetopetric, Co-President at Ipsos Poland, explains: 'Thanks to the CATI at Home system, we can instantly expand our telephone survey capabilities without the limitations linked to the number of work stations currently available in the CATI studio. From the point of view of the job market it is also a flexible solution, as it allows us to employ those whose mobility is for some reason or other limited.'

The Ipsos Group also conducts telephone surveys using the system in Sweden, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Germany and in Spain.
