In the US, former Apple PR exec Teresa Brewer is joining DIY research company SurveyMonkey as Head of Communications from next Monday.

Founded in 1999, Palo Alto, CA-based SurveyMonkey provides technology which helps users collect 2.8 million online survey responses every day. Earlier this year, the firm launched a mobile app insights platform, providing app publishers with data on more than a thousand mobile apps as well as the overall app economy.

Brewer (pictured) will join after twelve years at Apple, where she latterly served as Senior PR Manager, leading communications for iPhone, prior to which, she was PR Manager for Mac. Before joining Apple in 2004, she served as Corporate Communications Manager at Sony Computer Entertainment America, and she worked in PR roles at Blanc & Otus PR and Quantum Corporation.

In her new role, Brewer will manage all internal and external communications initiatives.
