In Canada, insight tech business Rival Technologies has appointed Venetia Verdicchio for its newly created role of Senior Security Manager, leading security, compliance and privacy efforts for the firm's insight platform.
Rival was
set up in 2017 by holding company Reid Campbell Group, which was founded by former Millward Brown Global CEO Eileen Campbell, Vision Critical founder
Andrew Reid and his sister Jennifer as a 'launch pad' for innovation in consumer insights. Last month, the firm announced it is
launching a mobile and messaging insights and engagement platform called Chat Lab.
Verdicchio (pictured) joins after four years at Vancouver-based fintech firm Hyperwallet (acquired by PayPal last year), where she served as Senior Manager, IT Security and Compliance. Her specialization is governance, risk, and compliance with a focus on data protection and audits, including SOC 2, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.
Commenting on the appointment, Andrew Reid said: 'The technologists and researchers that make up Rival have a long history in market research innovation, and we understand that security and privacy are big priorities to our clients. We're very excited to welcome Venetia - her impressive experience at Hyperwallet and PayPal will be incredibly valuable as we accelerate scaling our platform, add more innovative features, and bring in more clients and partners.'
