Alyssa HayesIn the US, full-service consumer understanding specialist Curion has appointed Alyssa Hayes as Vice President of Data and Consumer Insights.

Formed in 2017, through the merger of consumer product testing agency Q Research Solutions (QRS) and sensory methodology developer Tragon Corporation, Curion employs 'Quantitative Descriptive Analysis', a behavioral method where panel members use different senses to identify product similarities and differences. Earlier this year, the company launched eFive, a sensory and product insights platform for emerging brands, with testing facilities in Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas and New York City.

Hayes (pictured) joins after more than five years at inflight Internet company Gogo, where she latterly served as Senior Director, Data Strategy and Insights. Prior to this, she worked for Maritz Research as Director, Research Services, US Cellular as Market Research Manager, and Inform Research as Senior Research Analyst.

In her new role, Hayes will lead her team with a focus on delivering insights and strategic recommendations to clients. CEO Sean Bisceglia comments: 'Alyssa has a track record of providing insights that are used to drive decisions throughout organizations. Her passion for data decision making, collaboration, building cross-functional relationships and establishing and growing strong teams will serve Curion well.'
