ESOMAR

December 18 2019

Judith PassinghamGlobal MR membership association ESOMAR (the European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research) has named Judith Passingham ESOMAR Professional Standards Committee Chairperson for 2020.

Passingham (pictured) recently retired from Ipsos, where she served as CEO Ipsos Global Operations and Ipsos Interactive Services. Prior to this, she spent thirteen years at TNS, the past three as CEO TNS Europe (Custom) and previously as MD, TNS Worldpanel.

She takes over the ESOMAR role from Enrique Domingo, who runs his own agency Dialogs&Beyond in Madrid, and previously worked as a Partner at sevendots; served as Ipsos Country Manager for Spain; and worked for Synovate as CE Iberia & Latin America. Domingo has been the Chairman for the past two terms, during which time, he oversaw the introduction of the new ICC/ESOMAR Code, and was instrumental in establishing the EU GDPR Code workgroup, which continues to advocate for a Europe-wide, GDPR-certified Code of Conduct.

In a statement, ESOMAR said: 'Enrique has now decided to stand down in order to pursue other activities, but we are thrilled that Judith has agreed to take this role on from January 2020. Judith has worked in the research industry for more than 36 years in a number of senior industry roles, across a wide range of research services, and brings a very extensive user and operational perspective to the position.'
