Marissa NelsonUS-based strategy and custom research company has promoted Marissa Nelson to Vice President, Consulting, leading the Local Media consulting team.

The company, which was founded by television 'news doctor' Frank N. Magid in 1957, studies how behavior is affected by content and advertising across traditional and new media platforms. Nelson (pictured) joined last year after nearly a decade at Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), where she most recently served as Senior MD for CBC, Local, responsible for overseeing all TV, radio and digital operations for eight local stations. Before this she led all digital news efforts across the network. Earlier in her career she held leadership roles in other television, radio, digital and newspaper organizations.
