US-based Cambiar and Asia Pacific's Gordon & McCallum - consultancies dedicated to the market research industry - have agreed to develop joint services and partner to provide 'on-the-ground' presence to support clients' geographical expansion plans.

Simon Chadwick and David McCallumFounded in 2004 by US researchers Simon Chadwick and Jay Wilson, Cambiar provides sales, marketing, and human resources consultancy advice to research firms around the globe.

Gordon & McCallum, which was launched last year by Nielsen veterans David McCallum and Alastair Gordon, offers specialist consultancy services to the market research industry, focusing on productivity and insight generation.

Both firms' support services for research agencies and research buyers focus on mastering change, increasing organizational effectiveness, and improving the quality and ROI derived from market research.

'The principals at Gordon & McCallum bring a vast amount of international expertise in research industry practices, especially in relation to tackling the complex issues associated with developing markets,' explained Chadwick. 'Both companies share a common vision to help research departments and agencies manage change and build long term value.'

McCallum says linking with Cambiar enables his firm to service its clients in the US more directly, and that Cambiar's established practices are complementary to his firm's offering.
