Pulse Hires for US Expansion

November 29 2011

Research outsourcing and panels company Pulse Group has hired former Gartner executive Carmen Endrina to lead its client development offering in the US, with a particular focus on the firm's West Coast technology clients.

Carmen EndrinaPulse has offices in Kuala Lumpur, New York, London, Sydney, New Delhi and Singapore, and says it plans to open a new operation in China.

The firm recently reported a drop in operating profit from $271k to just $50k for the financial year ended 31 May 2011, and a marginal net loss of $8,342, compared with a profit of $237,600 in 2010, which it put down to higher costs resulting from expansion activities.

Endrina most recently ran her own firm CTE Research, with clients including the Oregon Department of Transportation, child care specialist Knowledge Learning Corporation, and mining company OCP. Earlier in her career, she spent seven years as Research/Data Analyst at Gartner, working alongside project managers and analysts in the AsiaPac regional offices.

Pulse CEO Bob Chua comments: 'We are delighted to have Carmen on board, further boosting our international expansion and global footprint. The US represents a very important market for Pulse, especially for Asia-bound research engagements. We will continue to identify and hire talent globally into 2012, capitalizing on the continued growth opportunities in the region.'
