uberVU Hires Former Compete Exec as CMO

Social media analysis firm uberVU has hired Kantar Media Compete's former General Manager Gregg Poulin as Chief Marketing Officer, with a remit to help the firm refine its customer acquisition and demand generation strategies while directing all marketing initiatives.

Gregg PoulinFounded in 2008 in London, uberVU offers real-time tracking of comments across sites including Twitter and Facebook. In December, the company appointed technology business specialist Mark Pascarella as its new CEO, and established a North American corporate headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Poulin joins the US business with nearly twenty years' experience in online marketing, advertising and e-commerce. For the past five years, he worked at online behavioural measurement firm Kantar Media Compete as VP and General Manager, responsible for building the firm's syndicated product. Prior to this, he led the e-commerce divisions for consumer brands Keds and Keurig.

At uberVU, his role will include overseeing all marketing initiatives including advertising, media strategies, brand alliances, promotion and integrated marketing.
