Text Analytics Firm Clarabridge Raises $80m

US text analytics specialist Clarabridge has completed an $80m equity investment, which it plans to use to further expand its global operations, drive product innovation and grow its employee base.

Headquartered in Reston, Va. with additional offices in San Francisco and London, the firm automatically collects, classifies and scores sentiment in qual data found in customer feedback channels. Resulting insights are used to improve marketing, products, services, operations and customer service across an organization.

The firm's latest funding has been led by new investors General Catalyst Partners, Summit Partners, and Unica-founder Yuchun Lee.
