Xaxis Launches in Indonesia and the Philippines

December 16 2013

WPP audience profiling and targeting division Xaxis is launching in Indonesia and the Philippines, and appointed Arshad Rahman to lead its efforts in the two new markets.

Rahman, formerly regional director for Innity in Southeast Asia, takes the title of Director, Indonesia and Philippines and will lead strategy and operations in both markets. Xaxis already has broad coverage of the APAC region, with offices in China, Singapore, Australia, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia and Vietnam.

The division was launched in 2011 and was recently augmented by merging with a sister company, digital marketing tech specialist 24/7 Media. The new offices will work directly with the corresponding GroupM agencies to give global and local clients the ability to 'programmatically connect with the right audiences at the right time across the digital sphere'. 'There's a great deal of demand in both Indonesia and the Philippines for a fully capable audience buying solution', according to Rahman, who notes that mobile advertising is booming in Indonesia, in particular.

Michel de Rijk, MD of Xaxis Asia Pacific, comments: 'The digital landscape in APAC is evolving as digital penetration rapidly increases and audiences begin to shift to digital platforms. Xaxis will provide a competitive advantage to our clients in both markets. Arshad's familiarity with Southeast Asia's digital landscape and understanding of advertisers' strategies will help them turn the unique audience buying expertise of Xaxis into campaign success.'

Xaxis, whose offer combines proprietary technology and data, exclusive media relationships and a team of audience analysts, data scientists and software engineers, is online at www.xaxis.com .
